About

I am honored to have the opportunity to accompany clients on their healing journeys. Having been raised in a culture where mental health wasn’t widely discussed, I understand firsthand the power of being able to openly share without fear of judgment or scrutiny. That experience has fueled my passion for creating safe, welcoming, and empowering spaces where clients can explore their authentic selves and work toward their goals.

In our work together, you can expect a “come as you are” environment—one that encourages and celebrates self-expression, compassion, and exploration. I deeply believe in every person’s inherent worth and capacity for positive change. My ultimate hope is that through our time together, clients can reach a place where they feel empowered, grounded, and no longer in need of my support. I often joke that, by doing my job well, I am actively putting myself out of a job. I feel incredibly privileged to do this work and am proud to walk alongside my clients as they move toward their full potential.

Outside of counseling, I love spending time with my husband and our spunky Airedale Terrier, Ernie. I am an avid cook and baker and find joy in sharing my creations with family, friends, and neighbors. When I am not making a mess in the kitchen, you can usually find me trying out a new craft, binge-watching The Great British Baking Show, or listening to anything from ABBA to early 2000s rap.

Treatment Approach

I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches in my counseling work, as I believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all field. I tailor each session to meet the unique needs, goals, and experiences of the individual sitting across from me. I have a particular interest in approaches that emphasize the mind-body connection, including neuroscience-based psychotherapy and polyvagal theory.

In addition to those, I incorporate a range of evidence-based modalities such as mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing (MI), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), depending on what feels most supportive for the client.

I enjoy working with teens, adults, and older adults, and I am especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating struggles with ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, self-esteem challenges, relationships, and life transitions.

Education and Training

Before becoming a counselor, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Notre Dame. After graduation, I spent some time working in the corporate world, but I eventually felt a strong pull toward more meaningful, human-centered work. That calling led me back to school, where I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Cincinnati.

Since completing my graduate training, I have had the opportunity to work in the private practice setting, where I have continued to grow both personally and professionally as a clinician.
